Really great to visit CEMEX UK Dove Holes Quarry last week.
Cemex is such an important local employer and they have exciting plans to invest in the site and their rail freight infrastructure.
It was also brilliant to learn about the work they do on biodiversity, including working in partnership with RSPB to try to protect a population of Twites, a rare songbird that, without help, may disappear completely from England.

There is localised flooding across many parts of the High Peak with roads and public transport services affected following the bad weather last night.
The flooding is particularly bad in parts of Glossop with some homes having been affected too. Please do be careful and drive considerately on water logged roads with properties nearby.

Get all the drains looked at, this event could have been semi prevented if they put in a schedule for a twice a year check of every single manhole/drain in the region. Devastating for those affected.
When was the last time the drains were cleaned 🤨 . Is there any information
